SYNERGY CREATES PENTAGRO

Synergy JSC, one of the leading manufacturers of alcoholic products in Russia, is detaching its non-alcoholic production assets into a separate company, Synergy's President of the Management Board Alexander Mechetin informed.

 

According to him, non-core assets of the companies constitute more than 100 thousand ha. of land, two dairy plants in the Far East and three poultry factories in the Volga region. The new company is named Penta AgroGroup JSC (PentAgro). In its main alcoholic business Synergy intends to increase capital expenses by 50% in 2010 to reach $15 mln. compared to $10 mln. in 2009, Alexander Mechetin said. The company is going to spend about 2 bln. rubles for marketing and promotion of the products during the current year. According to the year results, Synergy is expecting a 10% increase in sales in natural terms.
