The history of PentAgro Group dates back to 1999. Later on, the Group developed into a vertically integrated and segmentally diversified holding controlling all production and sales processes of its products. PentAgro is the ultimate owner of the production assets of the Group and performs the functions of the managing company.

At the early stage of its development, PentAgro formed its business in the sphere of food production in the Far East.

Nakhodka Meat Factory, one of the oldest enterprises of the Primorsky Territory which was founded in 1950, became the first enterprise of the Group in 1999. Having entered the Group, the enterprise was subjected to quality upgrade to become one of the leading meat processing enterprises in the Far East. Currently the production capacity of the factory is 9 thousand tons of products a year. The line of products is produced under the “Dobroye Delo” brand.

In 2000, the Group’s assets were supplemented by Ussuriysk Dairy Factory (Primorsky Territory) which has longstanding history and traditions of producing first-class natural dairy products. The products of the factory founded in 1955 occupies a considerable share in the Far Eastern market and is widely known among the consumers by its “Rodimaya Storonka” umbrella brand and “Vita Magia” brand. The production capacity of the dairy factory is 33 thousand tons of products a year.

The year 2003 was marked by expansion of the Group from the Far East to the central part of Russia. It includes Mikhailovskaya Poultry Factory which served as the ground for forming the poultry trend of the Group. Located in the Saratov region, the poultry factory is the leading enterprise of the area with its capacity reaching 15 thousand tons of products a year. The products of the enterprise are known in the region under the “Mikhailovskaya Kurochka” brand.

In 2005-2006, two more enterprises in the Saratov region were added to the poultry complex of PentAgro Group – Tsarevschinsky-2 Breeding Paultry Factory and Zorinsky 1st order Breeding Multiplication Factory. Both enterprises which specialized in commercial production of seed eggs became a powerful base and suppliers for Mikhailovskaya head factory.

Also in 2006, PentAgro’s assets were supplemented by DAKGOMZ dairy plant located in the Khabarovsk territory. The production capacity of that enterprise is 36 thousand tons a year. Thus, with the affiliation of the enterprise by the Group its positions in the Far Eastern market of dairy products have been improved further. The products of DAKGOMZ plant are sold in the market under the brands “Rodimaya Storonka”, “Doctor Soyer”, “Vita Magia”.

The year 2007 was the beginning of forming the agricultural trend of the PentAgro Group. Russky Gektar and later Russky Gektar Urozhay were created, which during the next years formed their own black-earth land fund in the Saratov region. Currently the size of this fund is about 125 thousand ha., out of which 45 thousand ha. is farmed.
